Harrier (Ranger Archetype)

Some rangers are specialists in guerilla combat tactics, using hit-and-run techniques to harrass, annoy, and demoralize opponents.

  • Sneak Attack (Ex) If a harrier can catch an opponent who is off-guard or otherwise unaware of his presence, she can strike a vital spot for extra damage. This is the same as, and stacks with, the rogue ability of the same name. At first level, a harrier’s Sneak Attack does +1d6 damage. This increases by +1d6 at every odd-numbered class level. This ability replaces both Favored Enemy and Wild Empathy.
  • Fast Stealth (Ex) At 3rd level, a harrier can move at full speed using the Stealth skill without penalty. This replaces the Endurance bonus feat.
  • Uncanny Dodge (Ex) Starting at 4th level, a harrier can react to danger before her senses would normally allow her to do so. She cannot be caught flat-footed, nor does she lose her Dex bonus to AC if the attacker is invisible. She still loses her Dexterity bonus to AC if immobilized. A character with this ability can still lose her Dexterity bonus to AC if an opponent successfully uses the feint action (see Combat) against her. If a harrier already has this ability from another class, she gains improved uncanny dodge instead (see the rogue ability.) This ability replaces Hunter’s Bond.
